Our Process

Request for Estimate/On-Site Meeting

Once you contact Harber Concrete Construction, by phone or email,  we will discuss your project  needs and determine a time and date to meet on-site.  Once we determine a time and date to meet at your location, one of our owners will meet you to go over design, layout, finish options, and review and questions you may still have.  This will give us the project dimensions and site conditions needed for a formal written proposal.

 Contract

A quote and contract will be sent by email or postmarked by mail to the customer within 72 hours of the on-site meet, unless otherwise dated during estimate.  To be placed on our schedule, we require a signed contract be sent to our office with a 25% deposit.

Scheduling

When our office has received your contract, we will put you on our production schedule where we see the best fit.  This will be determined by the time we received the contract, size of job, location, permits required and time of year.   We will contact you with an estimated time frame for your project.  During the Construction Season, we are usually schedule 4-6 weeks out.  Once we get closer to your start date (within 1-2 weeks)  we will contact you with a more precise start date.  Please understand that weather (especially in Central Ohio)  can drastically affect scheduling.

Production

Unless otherwise stated, we require a homeowner to be on-site the morning we start production of your job.  This is for a basic walk through to make sure our crew leader and crew has an understanding of the job.  Day 1 will be a prep day.  We will tear out/remove existing material in the area work is to be performed.  Concrete forms will be set, if needed a suitable gravel base will be graded, and again if needed a final walk through by the homeowner will occur before we pour.

Pouring Concrete

The majority of our jobs are poured the day they are prepped. Standard broom finish concrete will be cured the day we pour unless otherwise noted.  Homeowners are not required to be on-site for pouring concrete unless they choose to be.  A more detailed plan will be given to you once your production begins.

Saw Cutting & Site Clean up

The day after concrete is poured, we will be on-site to complete your job.  We will saw cut your control joints in, strip forms and clean the general work area.

Final Walk Through

Once the job is complete, one of our company owners will do a final walk through of your project to make sure it has reached Harber Concrete Construction standards. This is when final payment is due, as the job will be complete.  A final invoice will be sent/given to you prior to this step.
